Our Works

At R.A.R.E (Rape, Abuse & Rejection Empowerment Initiative), our work is centered on healing trauma, preventing abuse, and empowering survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity. Through advocacy, support services, and community engagement, we address the complex realities of sexual violence, abuse, and emotional rejection. Our programs are designed to be survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and impact-driven, responding to both immediate needs and long-term recovery.

Awareness & Sensitization

We lead awareness campaigns aimed at breaking the culture of silence surrounding rape, abuse, and rejection. Through workshops, seminars, school and campus outreaches, and community engagements, we educate youths and communities on consent, boundaries, reporting pathways, and survivor support.

Our sensitization programs challenge harmful myths, promote empathy, and encourage collective responsibility in preventing abuse.

Focus Areas:

    • Consent and sexual violence education

    • Youth and campus sensitization

    • Community dialogues and advocacy

    • Prevention-focused awareness campaigns

Therapy & Mental Health Support

Healing from trauma requires safe, professional, and compassionate care. R.A.R.E supports survivors by connecting them to trauma-informed mental health professionals through confidential referral pathways.

We prioritize survivor choice and safety, ensuring that support is provided without pressure or judgment.

Support Includes:

    • Confidential therapy referrals
    • Mental health guidance and follow-up
    • Safe listening spaces for survivors
    • Trauma-informed support pathways

Legal Awareness & Referrals

Many survivors lack access to clear information about their legal rights and options. R.A.R.E provides legal awareness support to help survivors understand available pathways without coercion.

Where survivors choose to seek justice, we offer referrals to trusted legal partners and organizations.

Our Approach:

    • Clear, survivor-friendly legal information

    • Referral-based legal support

    • Respect for survivor decisions and timelines

    • No pressure to pursue legal action

Survivor Empowerment & Economic Support

Survivors deserve more than recovery—they deserve stability, independence, and opportunity. R.A.R.E integrates empowerment into healing by supporting survivors with skills development, economic opportunities, and empowerment initiatives where possible.

Empowerment helps survivors regain confidence, rebuild their lives, and move forward with purpose.

Empowerment Areas:

    • Skills and capacity development

    • Small business and empowerment support

    • Confidence and self-rebuilding initiatives

    • Long-term recovery and independence focus

Campus & Community Outreach

R.A.R.E works directly within campuses and communities to create safer environments and accessible support systems. Our outreach programs bring education, advocacy, and survivor support closer to where people live, study, and work.

By engaging local leaders, students, and community members, we strengthen prevention and response at the grassroots level.

Outreach Activities:

    • Campus-based programs and advocacy

    • Community engagement and education

    • Youth-focused interventions

    • Local partnerships for impact

Our Impact Approach

Our work is guided by empathy, accountability, and evidence-based practices. We continuously assess our programs to ensure they remain responsive, ethical, and impactful.

At every stage, survivors remain at the center of our work not as statistics, but as individuals deserving care, dignity, and empowerment.
